Comfy and cute! August 30, 2010 ashley jean I got my EMU Austrailia Women's Bronte Lo Boots in Sand a couple days ago and they're awesome! It's summer and I can wear them without sweating. They very comfortable and cute and like UGG's, but way cheaper. They fit true to size. Some reviews said they are bigger, but they fit exactly right on me. I recommend them.
Comfortable alternative to Uggs August 29, 2010 StylinDreaG (Europe) I actual really like the Bronte. At first the wool is terribly rough but I laid around in them on the couch, cleaned, etc and after a few hours the next morning they were very soft and the wool had already started to form to my feet. The sole is larger and seems a little unstable the way the back heel has the cap inside it, jus ta little adjusting too. I did order a full size down, I am an 8 and bought a 7 and they fit perfect, your toes may seem squashed at first but they do stretch quickly within 1 wear I think. I ma not wanting to get the Stinger as I may not buy another pair of Uggs, because these are just as good, maybe even better.
Great for the price, but outsole is not the best quality August 28, 2010 Helene Zampelli (Queens, NY) I'd like to start off by saying I was quite pleased with this shoe overall; the price was excellent (I got them at an MJM discount store) and I wore them all last winter with no complaints for the most part. As far as the look of the boot, I found it to be very similar to the popular UGG boots, and they were extremelly comfortable. As far as the sizing goes, I disagree with a lot of the other reviewers that say the boots run large. I'm a 9 or 9 1/2 in shoe size, and found that the 9 was too tight, even without socks, and that the ten was just right. The boots do, however, run very wide, so no matter what they will feel a little roomy. The only thing I dislike about the boot is the quality of the outsole (the part of the shoe that comes in direct contact with the ground). I found that these boots as well as other "UGG look-alikes for less" tend to have what appears to be a foam-rubber outsole that literally wears down over time. I must admit that I wore these boots very often over a period of about 5-6 months, but noticed toward the end of that time the heel started to wear down, making them less comfortable to walk in and less attractive. This wearing down was minimal and only happened with the heel though (I know this because the "EMU" logo on the outsole was missing from the heel only), as opposed to other cheaper brands that show significant wear along the back and sides of the boot. I've never owned a pair of UGGs because of the price, but perhaps the outsole of that shoe holds up a little better (you get what you pay for!). But, regardless, these shoes held up very well for the most part and with average wear should be just fine!
Runs true to size, not large... July 18, 2010 Rachelieachelie (Oakland, CA United States) Do not believe the reviews which say that this boot runs large - they are full of it. This boot is narrower than most other EMU styles in the calf/ankle area, as well as the foot area. I normally wear a size 5 1/2 to a 6 narrow, so I ordered these in a 5 because numerous reviewers said "it's so big." Ha! I got the boot on, but my toes were just smashed and the boot felt very uncomfortable. It felt like a size 7 would have been a better fit. The boot itself is lined in wool and it felt warm, but obviously not a high-quality sheepskin - for the sale price of $25, it's kind of hard to complain.
comfy....and w a great price July 17, 2010 vendy i just got it today, its so comfy and the price is unbelievable.... size run large is true, i have a size 6-6/2 , so i decided order a 5....it fit perfectly Happy to have them
